Upon arrival at the Lima airport, a GOTOPERU representative will meet you for the drive to your hotel located at the Imperial city.

Arriving you will have the rest of the day to relax and sleep. Since the Imperial City is located at 505-1,312 feet in elevation, during this first day you may want to take it slow to acclimatize in your Peruvian vacation!

Morning we will visit the Larco museum is housed in an 18th-century vice-royal building. It showcases chronological galleries that provide a thorough overview of 5,000 years of Peruvian pre-Columbian history, and then we´ll have free lunch time. At night a tour in our capital, founded by the Spanish Francisco Pizzaro in 1535. During the Lima City tour, we will visit the Plaza Mayor, birthplace of the city, where we can also find the Presidential Palace, the Lima Municipality, Archbishops Palace, and beautiful colonial buildings that are an important part of Lima’s identity. A few blocks away, we will visit Santo Domingo Convent, one of the most impressive architectural complexes of the 17th century. Then we’ll be in our way to your hotel.

Upon arrival at the Cusco airport, a GOTOPERU representative will meet you for the private transfer you to the sacred valley.

After a delicious breakfast, we´ll visit Ccochahuasi animal sanctuary (CAS), a family private organization, dedicated to rescuing and looking after animals which have suffered mistreatment of any kind from former owners or evil poachers or illegal hunters whom commercialize protected species.

Continue the journey in Awanakancha, a small camelid farm dedicated to the animals and intricate textiles produced from their wool. where you can understand how the animals wool is refined and naturally dyed, before finally being expertly woven into fabrics, tapestry’s, clothing or a variety of other products. You’ll can see the alpaca, llama and Vicuña. Separated by species and sex in large pens, the friendly animals are keen to meet visitors in the hope of receiving a tasty grassy snack.

In your way to your hotel you can explore Pisac, a village known for its lively handicrafts market in the main square.

Visit Maras known for the Maras Salt Mines, where you’ll take a tour in thousands of individual salt pools on a hillside, dating back to Incan times, continuing we’ll be in Moray, an Inca archaeological site mostly consisting of several terraced circular depressions, the largest of which is approximately 30 m deep.

Return to your hotel.

Visit Ollantaytambo, a village set on the Urubamba River amid snow-capped mountains. It's known for their fortress. In Ollantaytambo we also will be boarding the train heading to the city of Aguas Calientes (closest access point to the historical site of Machu Picchu)

Arrival at Aguas Calientes and transfer to your hotel.

Early morning a GOTOPERU representative will meet you at your Cusco hotel for the private transfer to the train station, to board the train heading to the city of Aguas Calientes (closest access point to the historical site of Machu Picchu ), at your arrival at Aguas Calientes a representative will welcome you and escort you to board a 25minutes bus to reach the entrance of Machupicchu (15th-century Inca citadel constructed by Inca emperor Pachacutec in 1438–1472) indeed it is the most familiar icon of Inca civilization. The Incas built the estate and abandoned it a century later at the time of the Spanish conquest. Although known locally, it was not known to the Spanish during the colonial period and remained unknown to the outside world until American historian Hiram Bingham brought it to international attention in 1911. After a compressive tour of MachuPicchu we will return to Aguas Calientes and then take the train to the city of Cusco.

Early in the Afternoon our tour will take you to the impressive Colonial Cathedral (built between 1560-1654), which contains over 400 paintings from the Cusqueña School in addition to colonial art. Also, we ’ll visit the Koricancha (the Temple of the Sun in Quechua, Inca’s language) in addition we will visit Sacsayhuaman fortress. Finally, we will spend the evening enjoying Pisco Sour and Ceviche made by our own hands.

Return to your hotel.

With a morning departure from Cusco, the capital of the ancient Inca Empire, you will cross the Altiplano towards Puno, and discover the spectacular beauty of Lake Titicaca. Next visit the Sumbay Caves, home to the rock art of the first humans that lived in the Peruvian highlands, before reaching the volcanic “White City” of Arequipa.

Departures take place on Thursdays mornings from the Cusco Station to Puno. Continuing with the tour, lunch begins on board, and then Raqchi is visited. After 3:00 p.m. afternoon tea is given and at almost 5:00 p.m. you will enjoy the sunset at La Raya, then a cocktail, and finally the dinner and at the end of the day you will arrive at the Lake Titicaca Station.

The second day will be longer, you will start with a breakfast on board, and after that you will visit two important islands: Uros and Taquile. Then you will have lunch on the beach, accompanied by typical dances with demonstration of artisan work. Passenger will return again to the Lake Titicaca Station, afternoon tea begins, a cocktail and finally, the dinner on board.

The last and third day, starts with an early breakfast in Saracocha, then you will visit the caves of Sumbay. At Km 99 Station, some passengers may wish to get off the train and visit Colca. After that, you will have lunch on board. Before ending the whole trip, passengers will have a panoramic tour to the city of Arequipa. At the end of the tour, everyone will be transferred to the city’s airport.
