Our Gotoperu staff will visit you at your hotel in Lima and transfer you to Jorge Chavez International Airport. You will board a flight to the city of Cusco. Once you arrive in the Land of the Incas, our staff will welcome you at the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport and will escort you to your hotel.
You will have the morning free to take a short walk and take some photos around the Historical Center of the city before your half-day city tour begins. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a guided City Tour of Cusco and the surrounding archaeological sites, such as Qorikancha temple – most known as the Temple of the Sun and Sacsayhuaman Fortress – a place that served for the Inti Raymi to take place. You will also visit Tambomachay which is located in the upper part of the beautiful city of Cusco. At night, we will take you to one of the best restaurants in the city to enjoy a one-time dinner and a bottle of wine.
We will pick you up around 07:30 a.m. from your hotel and transfer you to the base in Maras. This tour visits the following Sacred Valley tourist sites: Moray, Inca agricultural terraces; Maras Salt Mines, an artisanal salt mine where the residents of Maras also sell their salt, whether fine or coarse, flavored or for beauty treatments. The time set aside for visiting Moray and Maras Salt Mines is about 40 minutes in each place. After an exciting day of exploration, we will transfer you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley to spend the night.
After a buffet breakfast, you will explore the hotel's facilities in the Sacred Valley and then start your spa service inside the hotel. You will experience Andean relaxation therapies and massages that will help you eliminate all negative energy from your body.
After an exciting day, you will board the train to Machu Picchu town, most worldwide known as Aguas Calientes, at the Ollantaytambo train station. Upon your arrival to Aguas Calientes, a representative of Gotoperu will be waiting for you at the Aguas Calientes train station to take you to your hotel.
¡The main day of your trip! Be ready to visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu. Our representative will pick you up from your hotel to escort you to the Aguas Calientes Bus Station for a 30-minute bus ride to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, where you will have a private guided tour of the citadel. During your tour, you will be able to visit historical places located in the Citadel of Machu Picchu, like the Sun Stone, Sun Temple, and the Room of the Three Windows. After your tour finishes, you will enjoy lunch at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, located next to the Citadel of Machu Picchu with an out-of-this-world view. On your return to Aguas Calientes, you will have some free time to explore Aguas Calientes, buy some local artesanias, and enjoy an amazing view of Machu Picchu town. Late in the afternoon, you will board the train from Aguas Calientes Train Station to Ollantaytambo Train Station, where a vehicle will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
On this day, you will enjoy a full-day tour of Palcoyo Mountain. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco early in the morning and drive through the South Valley to the trailhead at Cusipata. After a delicious breakfast, we will begin our walk, following a beautiful path that finishes with an amazing view of Palcoyo Mountain, known as Rainbow Mountain. At the top of Palcoyo Mountain, you can have a panoramic view of Ausangate Mountain when we return to the base to enjoy a picnic and catering of the best dishes of traditional Peruvian food.
We will escort you to the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport to take your flight back home.
