Welcome to Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire and one of the most iconic cities in the world. We will be waiting for your arrival at the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport and then transfer you to your hotel in the city of Cusco.
You will have the morning free to take a short walk and take some photos around the Historical Center of the city before your half-day city tour begins. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a guided City Tour of Cusco and the surrounding archaeological sites, such as Qorikancha temple – most known as the Temple of the Sun and Sacsayhuaman Fortress – a place that served for the Inti Raymi to take place. You will also visit Tambomachay which is located in the upper part of the beautiful city of Cusco.
After an early breakfast at your hotel in the city of Cusco, a Gotoperu representative will pick you up to start your Sacred Valley tour. The first stop will be the City of Pisac, a small town with exquisite architecture that is the perfect place to buy authentic Andean souvenirs – most known as artesanias. As you browse through the selection of traditional clothing and handicrafts, you'll easily understand why the Pisac market has a reputation of its own. In the afternoon, you will visit Ollantaytambo, which is an Inca site that began as a palace or fortress but was eventually used as the last Inca stronghold against the invading Spanish conquistadors. After an exciting day of archaeological exploration, you will board the train to Machu Picchu town – most worldwide known as Aguas Calientes – at the Ollantaytambo train station. Upon your arrival in Aguas Calientes, a representative of Gotoperu will be waiting for you at the Aguas Calientes train station to take you to your hotel.
¡The main day of your trip! Be ready to visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu. Our representative will pick you up from your hotel to escort you to the Aguas Calientes Bus Station for a 30-minute bus ride to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, where you will have a private guided tour of the citadel. During your tour, you will be able to visit historical places located in the Citadel of Machu Picchu, like the Sun Stone, Sun Temple, and the Room of the Three Windows. After your tour finishes, you will have some free time to explore Aguas Calientes, buy some local artesanias, and enjoy an amazing view of Machu Picchu town. Late in the afternoon, you will board the train from Aguas Calientes Train Station to Ollantaytambo Train Station, where a vehicle will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport. You will take a flight to the beautiful city of Lima. Prepare to discover a rich mix of ancient history and modern city life. Upon arrival at the Jorge Chávez International Airport, you will be greeted with warm hospitality by our Gotolatam representative who will take you to your hotel, where you will find comfortable accommodations that suit the needs of each traveler. Whether you're looking for relaxation or adventure, this capital has it all. ¡Pack your bags and get ready for an unforgettable travel experience in Lima, Peru!
Our private transportation will pick you up from your hotel in Lima and transfer you to Jorge Chavez International Airport. You will board a flight to the city of Quito. Once you arrive in Quito, our Gotoperu staff will welcome you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.
After breakfast in your hotel, you will be taken to Mariscal Sucre International Airport for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival, a transfer will take you to your Galapagos cruise ship. Have time to settle into your cabin. Attend a briefing by the cruise staff and enjoy a delicious welcome dinner to start your Galapagos cruise.
Explore the wonderful Galapagos Archipelago aboard your comfortable cruise ship. Your specific itinerary will depend on the type of ship that you choose; in all cases, however, you will enjoy land tours to the Galapagos’s most beautiful islands guided by expert naturalists. Some Galapagos boats also offer water activities such as snorkeling or scuba diving.
Continue enjoying the flora and fauna of the Galapagos. The islands offer some of the best wildlife viewing in the world, not only because the animals are beautiful and interesting, but also because many of the species are virtually fearless. Through a quirk of evolution, large predators failed to evolve here, resulting in the unique sense of security that many of the island's animal inhabitants display. It means that the famous blue-footed booby will perform its awkwardly elegant two-step mating dance right under your nose. Mockingbirds will hop onto your shoes. Sea lions will do figure eights to show off their swimming prowess as you snorkel among them.
In the Galapagos, whether on land or sea, nature’s splendid surprises lurk around every corner. Giant tortoises grunt ancient cries, pink flamingos sparkle on the shores of hidden lagoons, marine iguanas hiss sprays of salt, and tiny penguins dart amongst colorful schools of fish, while elegant tropical birds glide across deep blue skies.
After your last breakfast aboard your Galapagos cruise ship, you will disembark and meet your transfer to the Baltra Airport so you can board your domestic flight to Quito and another one home.
