This City Tour in Lima, the vibrant capital of Peru, promises an enriching journey through history and culture. Embarking on this adventure unveils a remarkable landmark that showcases Lima's proud heritage. The San Francisco Convent is an architectural gem dating back to colonial times. Your next stop will be at the City Hall, exuding grandeur as it serves as both a symbol of civic pride and administrative power. Beyond lies the iconic Government Palace – an opulent edifice where Peruvian presidents have resided since the country's birth. Next to the Government Palace is the Basilica Cathedral at Plaza de Armas—the heart of Lima’s historical center—where architectural marvels intertwine beautifully with religious devotion. The tour continues into the Miraflores district with its breathtaking coastal views and finalizes at Barranco, known as a cosmopolitan and cultural district, with a traditional dinner at the Malecon.

In this tour, you will taste a wide variety of Peruvian food from the main regions and altitudinal levels of Peru. We will pick you up from your hotel to visit three of the main restaurants in the city (each from a different region of Peru). During your tour, you will be delighted with the main dishes that combine the biodiversity that is found in Peruvian territory, and you will participate in a tasting of award-winning chocolates. At the end of the visit to the last restaurant, we will have lunch (or dinner) before taking you back to your hotel.

Our Gotoperu staff will visit you at your hotel in Lima and transfer you to Jorge Chavez International Airport. You will board a flight to the city of Cusco. Once you arrive in the Land of the Incas, our staff will welcome you at the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport and will escort you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. On the way to the Sacred Valley, you will enjoy a visit to Awanacancha and the Archeological Site of Pisaq.

After a buffet breakfast, you will explore the hotel's facilities in the Sacred Valley and then start your spa service inside the hotel. You will experience Andean relaxation therapies and massages that will help you eliminate all negative energy from your body.

After an exciting day, you will board the train to Machu Picchu town, most worldwide known as Aguas Calientes, at the Ollantaytambo train station. Upon your arrival to Aguas Calientes, a representative of Gotoperu will be waiting for you at the Aguas Calientes train station to take you to your hotel.

¡The main day of your trip! Be ready to visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu. Our representative will pick you up from your hotel to escort you to the Aguas Calientes Bus Station for a 30-minute bus ride to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, where you will have a private guided tour of the citadel. During your tour, you will be able to visit historical places located in the Citadel of Machu Picchu, like the Sun Stone, Sun Temple, and the Room of the Three Windows. After your tour finishes, you will have some free time to explore Aguas Calientes, buy some local artesanias, and enjoy an amazing view of Machu Picchu town. Late in the afternoon, you will board the train from Aguas Calientes Train Station to Ollantaytambo Train Station, where a vehicle will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

You will have the morning free to take a short walk and take some photos around the Historical Center of the city before your half-day city tour begins. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a guided City Tour of Cusco and the surrounding archaeological sites, such as Qorikancha temple – most known as the Temple of the Sun and Sacsayhuaman Fortress – a place that served for the Inti Raymi to take place. You will also visit Tambomachay which is located in the upper part of the beautiful city of Cusco.

On this day, you will enjoy a full-day tour of Palcoyo Mountain. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco early in the morning and drive through the South Valley to the trailhead at Cusipata. After a delicious breakfast, we will begin our walk, following a beautiful path that finishes with an amazing view of Palcoyo Mountain, known as Rainbow Mountain. At the top of Palcoyo Mountain, you can have a panoramic view of Ausangate Mountain when we return to the base to enjoy a picnic and catering of the best dishes of traditional Peruvian food.

In the morning, our Gotoperu staff guide will pick you up from your hotel in Puno to begin your full-day tour of Lake Titicaca and the nearby islands. The majestic beauty of Lake Titicaca has captivated the hearts of countless explorers and travelers for centuries. Situated high in the Andean mountains between Peru and Bolivia, this enchanting lake is not only the largest in South America but also the highest navigable lake in the world. Our tour starts with a boat trip to the floating islands of the Uros, a collection of artificial islands built from floating bundles of reeds. You will have free time to buy souvenirs at the market and explore these floating marvels created by the Uros tribe to defend themselves against rival tribes. Then we will continue with a 2-hour boat ride to Taquile Island, home to a Quechua community that continues the tradition of male residents producing fine handicrafts. Here, you will have lunch with a magnificent view of Lake Titicaca before your return to Puno.
