Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco arrival

Cusco welcomes you with cobblestone streets, living history, and pure Andean air. You will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your hotel, taking in your first glimpse of this UNESCO World Heritage city. It’s the perfect starting point for exploring Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, and ancient traditions that remain alive in every corner. We recommend resting and acclimatizing to make the most of your journey.

Day 2: Cusco city tour & 4 archaeological sites

This tour blends the charm of Cusco’s historic center with the grandeur of its Inca heritage. Start at the Cathedral and Qoricancha Temple, then visit four amazing archaeological sites: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. Experience breathtaking landscapes, massive stonework, and a living connection to ancient civilization. A perfect introduction to the spiritual and architectural heart of the Andes.

Day 3: Classic inca trail 4d/3n - day 1

The trek begins at kilometer 82 along the Urubamba River. You’ll explore Llactapata, surrounded by terraces and native vegetation. The trail continues through cultivated lands and forest until reaching Wayllabamba. This first day introduces the environment of the Inca Trail, blending living culture, Andean landscapes, and archaeological heritage. Rest at the campsite surrounded by nature, beginning your journey toward the sanctuary of Machu Picchu with comfort and immersion in highland scenery.

Day 4: Classic inca trail 4d/3n - day 2

The trail rises steeply toward Warmiwañusca Pass, reaching over 4,200 meters. From the summit, you’ll admire sweeping views of the Andes. Then descend to Pacaymayo. This stage is the most physically demanding, offering rewarding landscapes, thin air, and closeness to nature. End the day at the campsite where you’ll rest after an intense hike through high mountains and open skies. It’s a day that challenges the body and inspires the soul.

Day 5: Classic inca trail 4d/3n - day 3

You’ll pass Incan sites like Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, and Phuyupatamarca, hidden in forest and mist. Descend toward Wiñay Wayna, following stone paths and scenic stairways. This day combines living culture with biodiversity, marking the approach to Machu Picchu. The trail transforms into a mix of heritage and cloud forest beauty. By evening, you’ll camp near the end of the Inca Trail, surrounded by history and the anticipation of arrival.

Day 6: Classic inca trail 4d/3n - day 4 & machu picchu

Begin before sunrise and hike to Inti Punku, the Sun Gate, where Machu Picchu appears bathed in morning light. You’ll then explore the citadel, walking through terraces, temples, and sacred spaces. After the visit, descend to Aguas Calientes and board the train. This day concludes your journey with reflection and awe, a closing chapter filled with discovery, history, and the breathtaking scenery of the Peruvian Andes.

Day 7: Free day in cusco

This free day in Cusco allows you to explore the city your way. Wander through vibrant markets, visit ancient Inca temples, sample local cuisine, or relax in cozy plazas. Cusco breathes history and tradition, making it the perfect place for spontaneous discovery. Take in the colors, flavors, and stories of this unique Andean city and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 8: Rainbow mountain (vinicunca)

Rainbow Mountain is one of Peru’s most colorful natural wonders. This hike takes you through remote Andean landscapes, past local herders and grazing llamas, up to Vinicunca’s vibrant mineral-streaked summit. Perfect for adventurers and photographers, this day tour offers high-altitude beauty and unforgettable vistas. Reaching over 5,000 meters, the journey rewards you with breathtaking panoramas and an up-close encounter with one of nature’s most dazzling displays in the Peruvian highlands.

Day 9: Departure from cusco

Today marks the end of your journey through Cusco. You will be transferred to the airport, with time to reflect on the magic this city has offered. With its ancient energy, vibrant culture, and stunning landscapes, Cusco leaves an everlasting impression. This farewell marks the conclusion of an unforgettable adventure through the most authentic Peru. Until next time, sacred city of the Andes!
