Welcome to Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire and one of the most iconic cities in the world. We will be waiting for your arrival at the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport and then transfer you to your hotel in the city of Cusco.

You will have the morning free to take a short walk and take some photos around the Historical Center of the city before your half-day city tour begins. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a guided City Tour of Cusco and the surrounding archaeological sites, such as Qorikancha temple – most known as the Temple of the Sun and Sacsayhuaman Fortress – a place that served for the Inti Raymi to take place. You will also visit Tambomachay which is located in the upper part of the beautiful city of Cusco.

After an early breakfast at your hotel in the city of Cusco, a Gotoperu representative will pick you up to start your Sacred Valley tour. The first stop will be the City of Pisac, a small town with exquisite architecture that is the perfect place to buy authentic Andean souvenirs – most known as artesanias. As you browse through the selection of traditional clothing and handicrafts, you'll easily understand why the Pisac market has a reputation of its own. In the afternoon, you will visit Ollantaytambo, which is an Inca site that began as a palace or fortress but was eventually used as the last Inca stronghold against the invading Spanish conquistadors. After an exciting day of archaeological exploration, you will board the train to Machu Picchu town – most worldwide known as Aguas Calientes – at the Ollantaytambo train station. Upon your arrival in Aguas Calientes, a representative of Gotoperu will be waiting for you at the Aguas Calientes train station to take you to your hotel.

¡The main day of your trip! Be ready to visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu. Our representative will pick you up from your hotel to escort you to the Aguas Calientes Bus Station for a 30-minute bus ride to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, where you will have a private guided tour of the citadel. During your tour, you will be able to visit historical places located in the Citadel of Machu Picchu, like the Sun Stone, Sun Temple, and the Room of the Three Windows. After your tour finishes, you will have some free time to explore Aguas Calientes, buy some local artesanias, and enjoy an amazing view of Machu Picchu town. Late in the afternoon, you will board the train from Aguas Calientes Train Station to Ollantaytambo Train Station, where a vehicle will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Our private transportation will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport. You will board a flight to the city of Iquitos with a stopover in the city of Lima. Once you arrive in Iquitos, our Gotoperu staff will welcome you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Iquitos and transfer you by private vehicle to Nauta Port to start your cruise journey. On the road, you will enjoy a box lunch.

The staff will show you to your suite, equipped with comfortable beds, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with a shower and amenities.

Once we start sailing, our naturalist guides will offer an overview of the travel itinerary, including activities, routes, information about wildlife, geographical and historical context, as well as other useful information.

After the briefing, we will enjoy a delicious brunch and have time to rest before the next outing on skiffs to Pahuashiro, where you will enjoy a night excursion in search of alligators, tarantulas, frogs, and other species that appear when the sun goes down. We will come back to the boat for dinner.

Before breakfast, we will head out on a skiff to the Yanallpa area of the Ucayali River in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, where you will observe native flora and fauna. After breakfast, we will head to the Tapiche River in search of wildlife. Before midday, we will come back to the boat for a cooking demonstration.

In the afternoon, we will head to the Dorado River, where we will fish using local techniques. Before heading back on board, we’ll enjoy a nighttime outing in search of caimans, tarantulas, and other species that make an appearance after the sun goes down.

After breakfast, we will set out to explore the Yarapa River, where the famous pink and gray river dolphins swim in its black waters. Back on the boat, we will see the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañon rivers, which give birth to the Amazon River.

After enjoying lunch and resting, we will start sailing on the Amazon River. We will explore and observe the daily activities that local communities do on the river banks. Before heading back to the boat, enjoy a colorful Amazon sunset.

Back on the boat, you will have some time to relax and enjoy live music before the presentation by the crew and farewell dinner.

Enjoy your last morning waking up to the sounds of the rainforest. Breakfast is served, and, depending on the time of your departure flight, lunch can also be arranged (additional cost applies). Embark on your boat trip along the Amazon River until you arrive at the airport, where you will board your flight to Lima. Once you arrive, our Gotoperu staff will welcome you at Jorge Chavez International Airport and escort you to your hotel.
