Day 1: Assistance and transportation from lima airport to your lima hotel

Starting your new adventure in Peru, arrive in our capital called the “City of the Kings” founded by the Spanish Francisco Pizzaro in 1535.

We will welcome you at your arrival, our identified personnel will have a sign with your name; we will escort you to our private transportation, during the transfer you will receive useful information, and at your hotel arrival we will assist you during your hotel Check In.

Day 2: Lima/paracas+ballestas + bus nazca

Morning transfer to Paracas. Arriving to the port of “El Chaco” in Pisco, from there we will depart in modern sliders to the Ballestas Islands. During the journey we will observe figures in the sand mountains as “El Candelabro” and the remains of a small dock, vestige of the guano’s boom exploitation in our country, we can also observe red-headed vultures, guanayes, cormorants, tendrils, pelicans, Humboldt penguins and sea lions. Afternoon transportation to Nazca (a city and system of valleys on the southern coast of Peru, the name is derived from the Nazca culture that flourished in the area between 100 BCE and 800 CE).

Day 3: Overflight nazca lines & bus nazca-arequipa +arequipa arrival

Starting the tour, we´ll transport you to the aerodrome to start your flight tour, the enigmatic Nazca Lines  are second only to Machu Picchu as the most famous archaeological site in Peru. The mysterious geoglyphs at the UNESCO World Heritage Site range from geometric shapes and swirls to a hummingbird and monkey. Theories on their purpose include astronomical markers, irrigation canals, and even alien messages

Finally, we´ll travel by bus to Arequipa (the “White city” founded by the Spanish in 1540, because of its white buildings made with ashlar, petrified volcanic ash), Peru’s second largest city.

Day 4: Arequipa city tour

Afternoon tour of Arequipa's highlights, including the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesus, exemplifies the city’s distinctive architectural heritage. The church exterior is a masterpiece of Andean baroque details sculpted from white sillar stone, while the interior displays a collection of paintings and wood carvings from the Cusco School of Art. Our next stop is the Plaza de Armas, where the elegant stone-sculpted facade of the Basilica Cathedral steals the spotlight. We will continue to Santa Catalina Monastery, where the Spanish colony’s wealthiest nuns once resided within a convent big enough to have its own streets and plazas. Tour will end with a visit to the Mirador (lookout point), either Yanahuara or Carmen Alto, for amazing pictures of Misti Volcano looming over the city.

Day 5: Arequipa-colca canyon 1st day

Following breakfast at your hotel, our tour guide will pick you up for the long, scenic drive to Colca Canyon (river canyon in southern Peru famed as one of the world's deepest, is a well-known trekking destination. The canyon landscape comprises a green valley and remote traditional villages with terraced agriculture that predates the Incas). Ascend to the National Reserve de “Salinas y Aguada” in the “Pampas”, during this process you´ll see beautiful wind-swept cliffs and colorfully striated rock formations and Unique plants and wildlife sightings in the Patapampa, including yapat plants used for cooking, rodents such as the viscachas, and antelopelike vicunas. Afterwards we will have the evening at leisure in our Colca Canyon hotel. If you feel like exploring your surroundings a bit, we suggest relaxing at the region’s popular hot springs.

Day 6: Colca canyon 2nd day & puno arrival

Early morning we will escort you the stunning Cruz Del Condor, known for the best vistas in all of Colca Canyon where you can find andean villages and pre-Incan ruins dotting the landscape, we wil enjoy panoramic views of Ampato and Hualca Volcanoes, besides the stunning vistas if we are lucky we can enjoy a close look of condors flying nearby.

Finally we will have to say good-bye to the beauty of the Colca Canyon and board a bus to our next stop: Puno. At your arrival, one of our guides will be waiting for you at the bus station and will escort you to your hotel.

Day 7: Lake titicaca: uros & taquile

Today we will experience the Lake Titicaca, the largest lake in South America and the highest navigable body of water in the world and longtime home of highland cultures. We will start visiting the Uros Floating Islands made with cattail, as well as their handmade boats with the same material. Continuing the tour we will be on the way to the island of Taquile, where we can appreciate the immensity of the lake and all its splendor, we´ll have lunch and know more about their culture, textiles, habitants and customs.

Day 8: Sun route puno-cusco

Early morning a GOTOPERU representative will meet you at your Puno hotel for the private transfer to board our tour bus heading to Cusco.

First destination , “La Raya” and Pucara, where is the "the temple of fertility" and the Lithic Museum. Continuing the route, we will enjoy a delicious lunch buffet. Then we will visit Raqchi "Wiracocha” (the creator of the Andean world) temple.

Afterwards we´ll stop in Andahuaylillas, where you can admire the San Pedro´s Church (Constructed in the 16th-century, church dubbed the "Sistine Chapel of the Andes", offers ornate murals & decor). Arrival to the city of Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

Day 9: Free morning + pm city tour cusco

Free morning to wander around the main square, with its many cafes and stores, or even visit a museum.

Early in the Afternoon our tour will take you to the impressive Colonial Cathedral (built between 1560-1654), which contains over 400 paintings from the Cusqueña School in addition to colonial art. Also, we ’ll visit the Koricancha (the Temple of the Sun in Quechua, Inca’s language ) in addition we will visit Sacsayhuaman fortress.

Spend the evening at your leisure enjoying the Peruvian cuisine, Andean music, and the splendor of magical Cusco at night.

Day 10: Sacred valley: alpaca farm -pisac & ollantaytambo – train to aguas calientes

Begin our day with a visit to the alpaca farm of Awanachancha where you can see the creation process of Andean textiles and have direct contact with Alpacas and Llamas. Following the farm we will visit Cochahuasi, an Animal Sanctuary- rescue center, where you can be a spectator of the Andean animals in their natural habitat, including Condors and Pumas.

Afterwards we will explore the “Sacred Valley” including Pisac, village known for its lively handicrafts market in the main square. A path winds from the square past agricultural terraces up to Pisac Archaeological Park, a hilltop Incan citadel with ancient temples, plazas and the Intihuatana, a stone structure thought to have been a sundial. Afterwards we will visit the Ollantaytambo town, a village set on the Urubamba River amid snow-capped mountains. It's known for their massive Inca fortress with large stone terraces on a hillside.

Late in the afternoon we will head to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to the city of Aguas Calientes.

Arrival at Aguas Calientes and transfer to your hotel.

Day 11: Tour machupicchu & return to cusco

Early morning a GOTOPERU representative will meet you at your hotel and will escort you to board a 25 minutes bus to reach the entrance of Machupicchu (15th-century Inca citadel constructed by Inca emperor Pachacutec in 1438–1472) indeed it is the most familiar icon of Inca civilization. The Incas built the estate and abandoned it a century later at the time of the Spanish conquest. Although known locally, it was not known to the Spanish during the colonial period and remained unknown to the outside world until American historian Hiram Bingham brought it to international attention in 1911. After a comprehensive tour of MachuPicchu we will return to Aguas Calientes and then take the train to the Sacred Valley. Private transfer to your Cusco Hotel.

Day 12: Cusco departure

A GOTOPERU representative will meet you at your hotel for your transfer to Cusco airport for your domestic flight to Lima.
